A Year of Growth, Grit, and Gratitude

August 15th will always be a special day for me. A year ago today, I set up for my very first show—actually shaping hats with confidence. It was a milestone I’ll never forget, one that simply wouldn’t have happened without taking a leap of faith.

Just days before that show, I found myself on a plane to Denver, Colorado, after what felt like the most chaotic travel day ever. I walked into a classroom full of smiling strangers—strangers who would quickly become friends. That experience gave me the knowledge, encouragement, and push I needed to step into that first show ready to make it happen.

Since then, that circle of friends has become something even greater. They’ve been my sounding board for advice, my biggest cheerleaders, and the kind of people who will pause everything to pray with you when you need it most. I am endlessly thankful for the way this journey has connected me with people who are truly walking the same path.

This past year has been one of growth, grit, and gratitude. I’ve learned that chasing dreams doesn’t come without challenges, but it also comes with joy, community, and a whole lot of unforgettable moments.

To my friends who were there from the start—you know who you are—I love you, and I can’t wait for our anniversary trip. Here’s to one year behind us, and all the exciting chapters still to come.
